Tahitian Noni Extra Sales Exceed Expectations

Tahitian Noni Extra Sales Exceed Expectations

Extra Includes the Broadest Spectrum of Iridoids of any Tahitian Noni Bioactive Beverage

Provo, UT (Vocus) April 22, 2010

Tahitian Noni International (http://www. tni. com/united_states/english/tahitiannoni/index. html? np=1) (TNI) announced that sales of Tahitian Noni® Extra (http://products. tni. com/united_states/english/nonistore/v9index. html)™ have exceeded all expectations, and that it has been a challenge to fill all of the product requests for the new bioactive beverage. Extra is unique in that it provides the broadest range of iridoids of any Tahitian Noni® product–with 16 different iridoids (http://research. tni. com/united_states/english/research/iridoids. html).

Tahitian Noni Extra delivers a potent blend of noni, blueberry, and olive iridoids that boosts energy and endurance, supports joint health, aids recovery, promotes heart health, enhances the immune system, and helps protect against oxidative stress. Extra is ideal for people with advanced needs and provides 60 mg of iridoids per 60 ml serving.

Noni, blueberries, and olives all contain powerful bioactive compounds that posses a wide range of potential health benefits. Chief among these compounds are iridoids, which have been studied for over 50 years and include a broad range of research. The combination of these 16 different iridoids makes Extra one of the most powerful bioactive beverages available today. And unlike flavonoids or carotenoids in so-called “superfruit” juices, iridoids are extremely heat and time stable. The iridoids in Tahitian Noni® bioactive beverages have been shown to retain their potency and bioactivity long after processing, pasteurization, and storage.

Tahitian Noni Extra is loaded with over 150 phytonutrients that also make it a powerful adaptogen. Adaptogens take a personalized approach to safely benefit the health and function of your body’s systems. These compounds help living things maintain a natural, healthy balance.

“This new bioactive beverage (http://research. tni. com/united_states/english/research/bioactives. html) could possibly be the healthiest drink on earth,” stated Jeff Wasden, vice president of Global Marketing for Tahitian Noni International.

BeautiControl is your personal skin care how to.

As a complimentary service to consumers, new Skin Age Analysis with Time Sensors determines the age your skin is acting in just minutes. Based on your results, a customized Skinlogics daily skin care regimen can be recommended for you -- regardless of your skin condition. Skin Age Analysis is so easy and quick, it can be performed at the office, on a lunch break, in the home -- anywhere and any time you have a few minutes! To schedule your complimentary Skin Age Analysis, contact Vickie Johnson at e-mail protected from spam bots.

"The science of skin care has evolved and our approach is evolving with it," says Gary Jones, vice president, product development. "The future of skin care is not about chronological age or skin condition, it's about the age your skin is acting. Our skin is more a reflection of how we live rather than how long we've lived. You could be 30, but your skin could be acting 40! Time, the environment, stress and diet all play a role in the age your skin is acting and what it needs.

"New Skin Age Analysis with Time Sensors targets age-specific concerns such as loss of firmness, dryness, dullness, and lines and wrinkles. We know that the sooner you start caring for the age-specific needs of your skin, the longer it can retain its youthful properties."

New Skinlogics goes beyond basic skin care to deliver advanced ingredients to help preserve and promote beautiful, youthful-looking skin. The products are formulated with Revitalin to help enhance skin metabolism, plus botanicals and vitamins A, C and E for healthy-looking skin.

The three Skinlogics systems include Skinlogics for skin that is acting under age 30; Skinlogics Gold for skin that is acting between 30 and 40 years of age; and Skinlogics Platinum for skin that's acting age 40 plus. Spin, Yoga, Pilates, Spa - Country's First Boutique Fitness Resort

REZA Resort is the Country's first and only Boutique Fitness Resort offering members a uniquely personalized, integrative approach to health and well being. REZA offers Spinning, Yoga, Pilates, Group Fitness, Massage and Relaxation experiences, an organic skin care line and custom-designed fitness apparel for women. In addition REZA's online store features thousands of Books, DVDs, and CDs on the topics of mind, body, health and fitness.

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) October 12, 2004

As the trend to build larger, more utilitarian fitness facilities continues to grow, one Scottsdale Resort is redefining the fitness landscape. REZA, the Country's first Boutique Fitness Resort, grew out of the idea that bigger is not always better. By combining the luxury and exclusivity of a country club resort with the intimacy of a private fitness studio, REZA is personalizing the fitness experience and creating a relaxed, fun environment in which members are encouraged to explore the healthful benefits of integrative group fitness.

"REZA is designed to connect members on a different level, to encourage them to explore their potential in several ways. For some, that may begin with a fitness discpline like Spinning, Yoga or Pilates. For others, it may be a relaxation experience like Meditation or Spa Therapies, but the goal is to always to get clients to ask the deeper questions about life, meaning and purpose", so says Reza Karamooz founder of REZA Resort.

Recent studies have shown that interest continues to boom in less traditional forms of exercise like Spin, Yoga and Pilates, which are mindful of movement and total body conditioning. Unlike solo forms of exercise, group fitness also provides motivation, inspiration and social interaction, as well as personalized instruction. "We spent a great deal of time interviewing instructors and selected only the best from each discipline. It wasn't just a matter of demonstrating great technique - the quest was always to have our instructors connect personally with our members".

Karamooz continues " Alot of my clients are dissatisfied with the overall experience they are getting at the larger, name brand "fitness factories", they are searching for something different, something more personal, more positive. A place they can call their "fitness and wellness home."

Based on the strong level of interest, plans are already in the works to open a second location in the Biltmore area by fall of 2005. REZA is currently located in North Scottsdale.

SNL Kagan Reports Big Gains For National Cable Advertising Last Year After A Rough Start

SNL Kagan Reports Big Gains For National Cable Advertising Last Year After A Rough Start

Advertisers drove cable revenues over $17 billion in 2006.

Monterey, Calif. (PRWEB) July 10, 2007 -

– SNL Kagan’s latest report, Benchmarking Cable Network Financial Statistics, shows strong growth in advertising revenue for most cable networks in 2006, with a major second-half rebound after a weak start. Many major advertisers remained on the sidelines during the important upfront market, undecided about whether to shift their dollars from broadcast and cable to new media like the Internet and video-on-demand. That trend reversed in the 2007 upfront markets, where advertisers had their wallets open when talking to cable nets.

Unlike many other ad sectors, national cable network ad revenue has performed solidly in the long term, growing 13% over the past decade. Combined national and local cable ad revenue since 1997 has grown at a CAGR of 12.2% and now totals almost $23 billion per year.

The SNL Kagan report forecasts that total cable network revenue over the next five years will grow 11% per year and affiliate revenue will outpace ad revenue. The report estimates the industry will grow from $37+ billion in revenue in 2007 to $55+ billion by 2011, while the average cash flow margin will increase from 36% to 40%.

“The industry is still extremely healthy overall, although the most impressive gains are being made by the major media conglomerates which have leverage in both ad sales and distribution. It continues to be tough for independently owned channels,” said Derek Baine, Senior Analyst at SNL Kagan.

Benchmarking Cable Network Financial Statistics is the industryÂ’s key reference source for detailed financial statistics on basic cable networks, including five years of historical data and five years of forecasts in such key categories as cable TV advertising revenue, ad inventory, subscribers, CPMs, affiliate revenue, expenses and cash flow.

Aprexis Health Solutions, Neighborhood Health Plan, and Medmetrics Health Partners Collaborate to Provide Adherence Program

Aprexis Health Solutions, Neighborhood Health Plan, and Medmetrics Health Partners Collaborate to Provide Adherence Program

Pioneer in medication adherence provides adherence support to hypertension patients.

Newton, MA (PRWEB) November 10, 2009

Aprexis Health Solutions, Inc. a pioneer in development and implementation of programs that promote patient adherence to healthcare treatment, announced today that it is partnering with Neighborhood Health Plan, MedMetrics Health Partners, and Northeastern University to provide medication adherence support to people with hypertension. Patients targeted for enrollment in this program are members of Neighborhood Health Plan, a managed care organization which covers nearly 200,000 lives in the state of Massachusetts. MedMetrics provides pharmacy benefit support services to the patients as part of this program. Researchers at Northeastern University will collaborate with Aprexis, Neighborhood Health Plan, and MedMetrics to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of the intervention.

It is estimated that non-adherence to blood pressure medications is as high as 70% in many patient populations, and that such non-adherence is a major contributing factor in poor patient outcomes and unnecessary health care costs. "Given the cost and burden of sub-optimally controlled chronic diseases, we sorely need cost-effective and sustainable interventions that reduce non-adherence," said Dr. James Glauber, M. D., M. P.H. and Senior Medical Director at Neighborhood Health Plan in assessing the potential value of the program. "This study will help us to understand the potential for a proactive managed care approach to reduce non-adherence to blood pressure medication."

"As a PBM with strong academic roots and a commitment to evidence-based programming, we are delighted to participate in this partnership," said David Calabrese, R. Ph, MHP, Chief Clinical Officer with MedMetrics. "We are also hopeful that the information derived from this research will help to establish the important value a centralized, pharmacist-driven outreach program can yield in improving adherence rates for hypertension meds within a more complex and challenging patient population."

Throughout the adherence program, Aprexis Health Solution pharmacists will provide personalized coaching services to Neighborhood Health Plan members who voluntarily enroll in the study. Pharmacists will utilize motivational interviewing (MI) techniques during coaching sessions. MI, which is a key component of the Aprexis adherence services, has been proven to help improve patient adherence to medication taking.

A sophisticated technology-based system helps pharmacists assess patient adherence and identify the appropriate topics for coaching patients in each session. The system captures and stores all relevant program data, which will enable Aprexis and Northeastern researchers to evaluate the impact of the intervention on patient adherence throughout the program. Nate Rickles, Pharm. D., Ph. D., Assistant Professor, will oversee program outcomes' analyses at Northeastern. In commenting on the research project from the university's vantage point, Dr. Rickles said that he "Expects results of this study to help the health care community understand the value of telephone-based adherence assessment and its use by pharmacists in patient-centered interventions to improve medication adherence."

"We're very excited about the opportunity to work with these distinguished partners to provide adherence support to patients with hypertension," said Sean Teare, President of Aprexis. "We believe that our pharmacists will be able to employ MI techniques to help patients overcome the barriers that cause non-adherence and demonstrate the clinical benefits of the intervention program."

Putumayo World Music Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

Putumayo World Music Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

Putumayo World Music Celebrates its 10th Anniversary with the release of a 10th Anniversary enhanced 2 CD retrospective and a nationally televised TV special on BET and BET Jazz

(PRWEB) October 1, 2003

For Immediate Release

This year, Putumayo World Music, whose distinctive music and packaging has earned it millions of fans, celebrates its 10th Anniversary with the release of the Putumayo World Music 10th Anniversary Collection featuring 24 songs, two music videos, rare photos, a video short of the Putumayo story and a 52 page booklet in English, Spanish, French and German.

Putumayo World Music was founded in 1993 by Dan Storper and Michael Kraus as an offshoot of the Putumayo clothing company that was started by Storper in 1975 and subsequently sold in 1997. In 2000, Putumayo Europe was established in Hilversum, Holland.

In association with Black Entertainment Television (BET) and BET Jazz, Putumayo has produced an hour long Putumayo 10th Anniversary Special. Hosted by African star Angelique Kidjo, it features exceptional music videos from around the world and will air on BET Jazz on October 24th at 1pm, 9pm and midnight, and BET on November 2nd at 1pm. It will also be made available to television networks around the world.

In the early ‘90s, world music had limited distribution and visibility in the U. S. and around the world. Since that time, Putumayo has been integral to the development of the world music industry and has broken through language and cultural barriers. 25 of Putumayo’s 100 albums have sold more than 100,000 copies each and Putumayo has sold almost 10 million albums over the past decade.

While working closely with record stores and distributors around the world, Putumayo has been a trailblazer in nontraditional marketing. It was the first record label to market world music broadly in cafés, health food stores, museums, bookstores and gift shops. Currently more than 2,500 specialty retailers in North America and more than 1,000 in Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia and Australia sell Putumayo CDs in their stores.

Each Putumayo compilation features music by a variety of prominent international artists, including many tracks previously unavailable outside of the musicians’ home countries. Putumayo artists Habib Koité from Mali and Oliver Mtukudzi from Zimbabwe have begun to reach mainstream audiences through their collaborations with Bonnie Raitt and appearances on Late Night with David Letterman. The Putumayo release Homeland by South African legend Miriam Makeba was nominated for a Grammy in 2001.

The groundbreaking Putumayo World Music Hour was launched in 1999 and was the first syndicated world music show on commercial radio in the United States. The radio show now airs on more than 110 stations, both commercial and non-commercial in the U. S. and in 15 other countries including Canada, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Italy, Senegal, Turkey and Holland.

Putumayo's first foray into music for children was the 1999 release, World Playground, which has sold 150,000 copies. In 2002, the company launched the Putumayo Kids division. All of the CDs and activity kits in the Putumayo Kids series have won ParentsÂ’ Choice and numerous other awards. The two 2003 releases -- African Playground and Dreamland -- will be included in numerous "Best of the Year" lists in many

Parenting magazines. Putumayo Kids' award-winning Multicultural Activity Kits have been adopted as part of the curriculum in more than 1,000 schools and have reachedmore than 250,000 children.

To help bring multicultural education into schools, Putumayo established the non-profit Putumayo Cross-Cultural Initiative in 2002. A portion of the proceeds from all world music compilations produced in 2003 and beyond will be contributed to PCCI to provide multicultural teacher training programs (www. putumayo. org).

Putumayo World Music can be found on the World Wide Web at www. putumayo. com, where the complete Putumayo catalog and additional information about each of the Putumayo initiatives is available.

Lemington Home for the Aged d/b/a Lemington Center the oldest continuously operated African American sponsored long term care organization for the elderly in the United States. At risk of closing!

Lemington Home for the Aged d/b/a Lemington Center the oldest continuously operated African American sponsored long term care organization for the elderly in the United States. At risk of closing!

The elderly they serve are the poorest of poor and are dependent on Medical Assistance, which is the state welfare program. Most African American elderly over the age of 70 lack the retirement incomes to pay privately for supportive services which assist them to maintain independence. Just 40 years ago the Civil Rights Act of 1964 passed, therefore a 70 year old today was 30 in 1964. Many were not permitted to work in jobs that offered retirement benefits until late in their adult lives.

(PRWEB) June 26, 2004

Ms. Mel L. Causey is the administrator for Lemington Home for the Aged d/b/a Lemington Center the oldest continuously operated African American sponsored long term care organization for the elderly in the United States. Founded by an African American female, Mary Peck Bond in 1877 and incorporated in 1883, Lemington has faithfully served African American elderly in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania community for more than 127 years! A 501 c3 organization, they operate a 120 bed nursing home in a building that was ill constructed in 1983. Their nursing home is in desperate need of your help!

The administrator shares this story because their facility is in financial distress! In general, the elderly they serve are the poorest of poor and are dependent on Medical Assistance, which is the state welfare program. The services and programs of this historic organization are largely funded by federal, state and local subsidized programs. This is significant because most African American elderly over the age of 70 lack the retirement incomes to pay privately for supportive services which assist them to maintain independence. Just 40 years ago the Civil Rights Act of 1964 passed, therefore a 70 year old today was 30 in 1964. Many were not permitted to work in jobs that offered retirement benefits until late in their adult lives. Many have monthly incomes of $1000 to $1600 a month and women are most negatively impacted. The average monthly cost for an individual in a nursing home in Pennsylvania today is $5,500. With that in mind, today and for the next 20 to 30 years as these individuals age this country will have a significant percentage of African American elderly whom are and will be dependent on subsidized programs. African American elderly deserve quality services, accommodations and programs that are reflective of their culture. Their financial situations were created as a result of Jim Crow laws and civil rights discriminations not as a result of a lack of initiative.

In 2003 the Lemington Home provided $680,541 in charitable care. Charitable care is the difference between what the Medical Assistance program paid us to serve this population and what it actually cost us to care for them. The United Way of Allegheny County contributed $206,970 to support charitable care and the Pittsburgh Foundation contributed $121,051 from an endowment held in the homes name. The remaining 352,520 was unfunded charitable care. This kind of loss has been incurred annually and the organization has endured the unfunded amount by not fully funding depreciation. If an organization does not fully fund depreciation then there are minimum funds available for capital repairs and replacement. A 21 year old building requires ongoing repairs and replacements.

Currently African American nursing homes through out the country are at risk and many of them have closed! We want to communicate the financial challenges of this organization so as to prevent the closing of the oldest African American sponsored nursing home in the country!

They have many positive things going for them. Their facility sets on 12 acres of land. We have a satellite office of the University of Pittsburgh, Center for Minority Health, office located on our campus. The first of its kind in the country! They have an 80 unit Housing and Urban Development funded independent living facility on the campus and recently were awarded a grant to construct an additional 44 unit building. They also have a growing community services agency that operates a senior center and soon a southern style home delivered meals program. On February 16, 2004, they opened a 32 unit Assisted Living facility in the building that occupies our nursing home. When this occurred the organization became the first African American sponsored long term care organization in the country to have four levels of care and serves for the elderly on one campus, a continuum of care. This is significant, because currently there are no retirement communities in this country that celebrate the African American culture!

All this is an accomplishment, with little resources, but the nursing home portion of this historic organization is at risk! The Board of Directors and Administrative staff members are doing everything possible to reduce cost and secure additional funding. Please they need your help!

Noesis Health Introduces AdvancedSMAT for Better Management of Cloverleaf Message Files

Noesis Health Introduces AdvancedSMAT for Better Management of Cloverleaf Message Files

New Tool Saves Time and Improves Searching Efficiency

Panama City, Fla. (PRWEB) July 14, 2008

Noesis Health, a national healthcare solutions company, today announced AdvancedSMAT™, an innovative tool that helps healthcare organizations improve the performance of their Cloverleaf® environment through enhanced search functionality. AdvancedSMAT saves time and improves searching efficiencies by offering rapid response times for loading and searching files. In addition, AdvancedSMAT offers aggregate search capabilities on files across multiple days.

Noesis worked collaboratively with Cloverleaf customers to develop AdvancedSMAT. According to Bruce Grambley, vice president of consulting solutions at Noesis, Cloverleaf customers are generally satisfied with the Cloverleaf application's performance and functionality. "As with all products, though, improvements can be made to enhance functionality and improve processes," he says. "AdvancedSMAT is the answer to our customer's demands for improved transaction management within their integration environment."

"Previously, we experienced long waits to get a particular file loaded," says Kathy Riggle, RN, BSN, interface coordinator at Heritage Valley Health System. "Now, we've eliminated that frustration because of the speed with which AdvancedSMAT loads files and the ability to search over multiple files."

"Before, a typical search might have taken between five and 30 minutes to perform," adds Mark Freed, interface analyst at Heritage Valley. "AdvancedSMAT conducts those searches in just seconds. It clearly has been an asset for us."

Noesis Health is known for its management consulting, application integration, and applications consulting with vendors such as Cerner Corporation, Epic Systems and McKesson Corporation.
