There's this girl in my office whom I hate and feel jealousy toward for some reason. Perhaps it's my insecurity that makes me jealous, yes, because she gets alot of male attention. But that's my problem...
However, I don't understand why I hate her. She is so annoying. She's loud, wears alot of makeup, wears tight clothes and talks about the most stupid things. She just talks about dieting and clothes and goes shopping all the time. I can't stand working next to her. I definitely don't secretly want to be her. So why do I hate her so much? I literally tense up when she's around and I can't wait for her to leave so that I can relax.

If I were you, I'd hate her for a few reasons. First of all, she's using very cheap tactics to get attention. Like babies to shiny objects, guys are going to be attracted to someone whose displaying all her assets because she comes off as easy. Most men don't mind easy. I suspect that you might value getting attention for being a quality person-- having a good sense of humor, being intelligent, being talented at what you do, rather than simply showing off your body in the most vulgar way.
Second, I'd probably be annoyed at how her behavior reflects on the other women. Her behaving this way might make the other (actually professional) women look like prudes (at least to the men in the workplace). Also, I personally hate meeting women like her because they seem to be the absolute stereotype of the frivolous, shallow woman. So, frankly, they make other women look bad.
The way you can deal with the jealousy of getting less male attention is to ask yourself, do you really want the attentions of such "typical" guys who could only be attracted to a tight sweater and who don't see other more important qualities in a person? Focus on how silly she looks as she parades around. Based on your description, I bet this girl does her fair share of coquettish posing, so just be smug and a have a good laugh to yourself, because at the end of the day, she's clowning herself up desperately for attention, and you aren't. :) Good luck!
